IAB v2 Stats Delay

    What happened?
    On 7/28/20 at ~2 pm PDT (UTC-7), we were alerted to a delay in loading download data into the processing pipeline.

    What was the impact?
    IABv2 statistics, including episode downloads and campaign impressions, were not updating for end-users of the ART19 app for approximately 6 hours. No data was lost during this time.

    How did we resolve the issue?
    We scaled out our data warehouse so that stats processing could finish. Data began processing again at approximately 6 pm PDT (July 28th, 2020).

    What steps are we taking to prevent future incidents?
    We have updated our policies for responding to system alarms to ensure rapid resolution. We are also working on optimizations to the stats processing workflow to reduce the risk of future incidents.
