Stats Are Delayed

    What happened?
    On 05/22/23 01:06AM PST our data warehouse provider applied a software update, which was causing issues with our data processing pipeline. After an initial investigation from our provider, they decided to roll back their change. A full root cause analysis is outstanding and we will provide further updates on this.

    What was the impact?
    Between 05/22/23 01:06AM PST and 05/23/23 07:00AM PST, the following impact could have been experienced:

    • Charts had stale data or no data at all
    • A delay sending events to external tracking servers
    • Ad selection on downloads could have been based on stale statistics

    How did we resolve the issue?
    Our data warehouse provider rolled back the update, after we reported the issues.

    Both backlogged stats data and 3rd party tracking stats delays are resolved. We apologize again for any inconvenience.

    Our backlogged stats data has completed processing and the stats delay is resolved. However, 3rd party tracking is still catching up to real time. We apologize again for any inconvenience.

    After our data warehouse provider investigated and took action, our backlogged stats data is being processed and stats are now catching up. No data has been lost, but it may take a few hours before every chart for every customer shows up-to-date information. We apologize again for any inconvenience, and will keep this incident updated as we process the backlog. Because this issue involves software in control of our data warehouse provider, it will take some time before we have a root cause analysis that we can share.
